His story really connected with me because my aunt and uncle both were soldiers.

Today In our school Netivot Hatorah Day School we where talking about you and others too,and now I really understand what is was like.We saw a vidios and pictures of you,we saw a vidios of you after your Bar Mitzvah of you Laning with Rabbi kadosh by your side and that must have felt super special you did a truly beautiful job at Laning.We also saw pictures of you on sports teams and class pictures too.Shushani family your son was a great person and you should know that he really impacted our lives in Torah, derech Eretz and Mitzvot
I loved learning about him and his life.You are gret parents,and family members.Your son really cared about his fellow soldiers and Israel.As we saw in the pictures and videos I saw that your son was a smiley kind person.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved son, brother and partner. In reading with bio I get the impression that I too would have loved his spirit and energy. Today in school netivot hatorah the school that you went to I learned about you and other fallen soldiers in the IDF. Your strength and bravery made an impact not only to me but also am Israel. To Yairs parents– I’m so sorry you had to go through the falling of your son. but his strength and help for am Israel is so important to me and my family and the school and world. I keep trying to think about how we would feel if we lost our son in a horific battle like this one. Please know that you are not forgotten.

Your Shay sounds like a hero, like so many in the IDF. I am so sorry that war keeps wonderful men like Shay busy protecting Israel instead of enjoying the beauty of life. yair, as a student in netivot hatorah in Toronto I feel a special connection to you. even though I never met you, you are a constant reminder that hope is mandatory. your soul was a blessing and we miss it dearly.

during the yom hazikaron play today, it made me think about how young you might have been, or how you missed your family.
