Dear Shirel’s family,
I can’t even begin to tell you how sorry I am for the loss of your daughter. Even though I never met her, I am positive she was a brave, beautiful, wonderful, young lady who wants to help everyone. On October 7th, her life ended in a tragedy, but she lived life for a purpose. Shirel bravely stood her ground in the war room headquarters refusing to leave even after the invaders lit the room on fire. Shirel is truly an inspiration to young ladies to stand up for what’s right and dream big. Once again, I’m so sorry but do not think about the things she didn’t do, think about all the things she did to help and protect her community. Thank you for reading my message.

In school, we are learning about King Shlomo, and I think that Tal is very similar to him in the way that he was very smart and talented in many forms. King Solomon’s selflessness is like Tal’s because they were both quick to help others. Now, whenever I learn about King Shlomo, I will remember Tal for his intelligence, talent, and a personality that reflects that of King Solomon. I can tell from reading about Adar that she was a joyful person to be around. As I read that she made it a mission to lift others spirits and make them laugh I know you should be proud knowing she died saving 90 soldiers lives.
