To Osher’s family,
I am a 6th grade science teacher at The Moriah School in New Jersey. I just showed your video about Osher to my class of students. Wow. It is clear that she really did live her life full of joy and happiness. Her care for those around her and the way that she used her gifts to teach others is truly inspirational. I hope that her life will inspire my students to fill their lives with happiness, care for others and a wide variety of experiences. I also hope that Osher’s story will teach them to appreciate time with their families and to seek out moments of connection with others. It sounds like Osher had so much more to give to the world. I am so very sorry for your loss. I will continue to share her story on Yom Hazikaron every year. May her memory be a blessing.

I am a high school teacher in the United States and my class and I are writing letters to families to share how sad we are about Yaniv and all of the chayalim who have been lost. We know that we would not have Eretz Yisrael today if it was not for chayalim like Yaniv. Please know that his bravery is not forgotten and his sacrifice is appreciated. We have so much hakarat hatov for all that Yaniv did.

Shirel sounds like an amazing and positive young woman. She is a role model in her personality and in how she served until the end. I am so thankful that we are able to have incredible people like Shirel serving and protecting our country.

Hi, I just watched the video on your son Micheal. He seemed like such an amazing and kind-hearted person. So many people loved and cared for him. There is not much I can say to express the pain you are feeling when losing your beloved son. But I can say that he lived a strong and beautiful life. Wishing the best for your family.
