My family, friends and I have no words to explain our pain in your loss. We pray that time will bring you a measure of relief from the sadness of Aryeh,s death while bravely defending Israel. May his memory be a blessing .

From our family to yours–we are sending our prayers of remembrance for the loss of such a young and brave soldier in the IDF. She made the ultimate sacrifice for her beloved Israel so that Jewish people, not only currently in Israel, but all over the world will have the opportunity to say ” we have a place to go”. This was a demonstration of bravery and her desire for herself to help protect her country and way of life. We do have family in Israel as well and appreciate the heroism that Ofir demonstrated in the face of the barbaric terrorists who threatened the way of life in Israel.
Please accept our condolences for your loss–and we will think of her every time we recite the kaddish.

I am a friend of Ayelet’s from Midreshet Orot. Years ago, I came to Ayelet and Menachem for Shabbat in Otniel. Tal was still a baby back then. In the afternoon we came to your home, and I had the honor of meeting you. You were kind and welcoming, and I had the best time. On the 7th of October, I was by family in Nechusha. We already knew in the morning that something happened, and by the afternoon there were nearly no men left on the yishuv, as they all got צו 8. I heard people talking about Otniel, and my heart sank. Because from what I know of your family, you are people who will always help, and you are people of action. And whatever was happening in the South, your son’s would be there saving people. I listened to Menachem retell the story of that day on the news. Elchanan was a true גיבור ישראל. Not just that he went in and saved so many lives, but that he made sure to keep their dignity and morale. I think about that a lot. How when you help someone, it’s not enough to get the job done. You need to make them feel good as well. I am so sorry for your loss. יהי זכרו ברוך

I am so sorry for your loss. It’s hard to imagine how much pain you all are going through. I want to thank your family for giving the IDF a proud and brave soldier. I know that he has probably saved many lives and he deserves recognition for that. Thank you for letting him be of service the Israel and the Jewish people.

We are deeply saddened for the loss of your precious loved one who had a beautiful soul and kind, courageous heart. Sgt. Shimon truly served Yisrael and humanity by fighting HaSatan’s terrorists and safeguarding our people as a combat soldier. Most importantly, he served Adoneynu through his IDF service and his service as a counselor to youth. Sgt. Shimon was a remarkable young man who not only gave his all on the battlefield, but also gave himself to support and love youth who needed it most. HIs memories will continue to bless and inspire others to give back and serve selflessly. We pray that Av HaRachamim comforts your mishpocha everyday. HaSatan tries to destroy our people to prevent Yeshua HaMashiach from returning. However, Adoneynu is greater and will always keep a reminant of us. Dear family of Sraya Elboim,

It so incredibly inspiring to read about Srayas and how special he was. To find the good in everyone and to always find the joy in everything is not easy to say the least. I didn’t know Sraya personally but I feel like if I did we would be close friends. Know that he did not die in vain, know that Sraya- the hero he was – his legacy lives on and will live on forever. Dear Davidiyan family i am sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for you. My name is Sophia Benjamin and I’m in 7th grade. I just wanted to say thank you for your family’s sacrifice. Evan though I don’t know your daughter, i know that they must have been very brave to serve in the army, and I think it’s really important that people like her protect us and our country. I can tell that your family is really strong because it takes a lot of courage to go through something so sad. I just made alyah 4 months ago,
I got to know Adir’s story and to volonteer to help prepare food for soldiers thanks to his association. He was with me for the Jerusalem’s marathon and I am wearing his t shirt today for yom hazikaron.
People saw the t shirt and we talked and thought about him. I try to make him/his memory live a bit with us. I have great respect for him. He looks like he was a great person.
