Dear Ariels fmaily,
Today, in our Jewish day school in Canada, Netivot Hatorah, I pause to remember your son. Even though I never met him, I want to thank him. He was willing to risk everything to protect our home. He gave everything he had, until his last breath, doing all he could saving so many lives. Because of your bravery, Israel stands strong because of his sacrifice and I can grow up to be a proud Jew knowing that there are heroes like him who protect our people and homeland. Just know your son is not forgotten. we remember him not just as a soldier but as one of us. their memory is part of our classroom, our community, and our hearts. I pray for peace and I promise to remember. I will live with gratitude, knowing that the freedom of our people was protected by someone as brave as you.

Without his bravery some people wouldnt be here today safe in israel and sharing with other about how brave your son was and how he saved them.

My heart stopped for a moment when I read his biography, how he convinced his mother to let him join the army and his mother’s response. As a mother, I only want to take care of my children just as you did. Your loss will not be forgotten. We remember Elay as a son, a friend, and as a part of our family, Am Yisrael. I cannot express my gratitude enough I’m so sorry what happens, I know it cant be changed but he died standing for Israel, I don’t know how people can be so selfless. we had a assembly and it was about all the fallen soldiers I and everyone else learned so much about the soldiers and Yair was there we learned so much about his story and I found out we both had something in common. while Yair was growing up he attended Netivot Hatorah Day School and I go there to we had a moment of silence for Yair and they showed us a video of when he had his Bar Mitzvah at school.

Hi family of Yair Yaakov Shushani,
I just wanted to let you know how brave and amazing your son was, and I wonder who he got these amazing traits from 🙂
I want to say how I am also a student in Netivot HaTorah just like your son, brother, and family member was and in fact I’m writing you this letter here.
Today (Yom Ha Zikaron), our school made an event about all the amazing and brave soldiers that fought and fell for our country and people, and they chose out of all the people 4 of them and Yair was one of them.
We watched a video in honor of him, and also lit a memorial candle for him.

Please stay strong and keep your emunah in Hashem strong, I hope this will soon be over.

I am a student at netivot, and I just wanted to thank you for everything your son sacrificed for us and the rest of the Jewish people. I just wanted you to know that we are all thinking about your family. Today at school we learn about the bravery,care,unity and the dedication from all the soldiers. We specifically learned about your son and his leadership,selflessness and dedication to Israel. We learned about his musical talents and his love for Israel. Your son is a great role model for the whole Jewish community.

to the family Sgt. Maj. Tal Eilon,
Today is Yom Hazikaron and I wanted to share my appreciation to Tal and let you know that he sounds like an amazing soldier, person, and hero. Your son risked his life to protect Israel and everyone in it. I wanted to let you know that Tal is remembered not only in Israel but all over the world including my school. I hope we have peace in Israel soon. may his neshama have an Aliya.

He is so brave as he was the first soldier to fall within Lebonon.
