Dearest family of Yehuda Cohen,
My heart is breakiing for your tragic loss. I live in Australia, and I also have a son. We have never faced the kind of situation here that you have been facing , especially since October 7th. The sacrifice that your son and you have made for the safety of all Israelis, for Jews around the world, and indeed for all of Western Civilisation, will never be forgotten.
I can see in the eyes of Yehuda a man who loved life, who was himself full of life, who had a wonderful sense of humour, and at the same time a person who thought deeply about what was of the greatest importance in life. I have never met Yehuda, but I know that I would have loved him.
Please accept my most heartfelt condolences, and remember that Yehuda is now in the arms of the God who embraces him and loves him.
Nothing and nobody can ever take away the pain you have to live with now, but know that you are not alone, that Jews all over the world are thinking of you, and are praying for you,
I am not a religious person, but I pray to God every night for the brave soldiers who are defending the Jewish people, and for the families who are also giving the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.

Jacob and Orit, I can not imagine the painf you are sufferiing for your big loss but I can feel it!! Every soldier that something happen to him I suffer like if it was my own family!! And I am always so grateful to them because I leave in Panama and thank for them we have Israel! You shoud be very proud of him!! I read about your dear,brave Sgt.Major Aharon Farash on my FIDF website tonight and was so deeply moved by learning what a special person and soldier he was and filled with goodness for his children, wife and others.
I’m thinking of my own father’s death …I was 17 years old so many years ago and I understand such loss.… for your children and yourself. I’m old now but still remember my Dad’s sweet nature. The pain of the terrible , unimaginable loss of Aharon
will also be remembered and somehow, someway be softened by knowing his neshuma is with Hashem and has found peace at last. He was a great inspiration to everyone.
I’m sending you healing , comforting thoughts and prayers so as to …in a very small way… be solace for you at this troubling time.

Dear family of Elisha Levinshtern,
On this Yom HaZikaron, I can only imagine the immense pain you must be experiencing. As with one attending shiva, I cannot speak for you, but I can stand with you; it’s the least any of us can do. And so, from thousands of kilometers away, חוץ לארץ, we all are standing with you, grieving with you and with all of Medinat Yisrael, and davening in the z’chut of Elisha and all the other chayalim who have fallen defending Israel. I understand that, despite not being required to serve, Elisha made the conscious decision to leave his wife, children, and entire family to defend the land of Israel and the Jewish people from those who would seek to destroy us. What a tzaddik, and what an inspiration to love klal Yisrael one bit as much as Elisha clearly did.
ז׳׳ל, may Elisha’s memory, his life, and his righteousness be a bracha for all of Israel and for all the Jewish people.
