Today, I had the honour of hearing about Rotem from his dear friend Dvir, who spoke at our Yom Hazikaron ceremony at Masada College in Sydney, Australia. It was clear through Dvir’s words that Rotem was an extraordinary person – an inspiring officer, a loyal friend, and a devoted husband, son, and brother – with a heart of gold.

Although we never met him, Rotem’s memory touched our hearts deeply. I am so so sorry for your loss. Please know that his story and spirit now live on in the hearts of over 200 students and staff who gathered to remember and honour him today.

May his memory forever be a blessing, and may G-d be with you all.

I will share beautiful Adar’s story with my daughters; I remember seeing her photo and reading about her bravery on social media after october 7. Some time ago Gili came to speak with us at our place of work, Payoneer, about Yael.
It was a touching and moving experience. When the video was played of the funeral procession to the kibbutz, i do not think that there was a dry eye in the room.
But aside from that, with all that you shared about Yael, even with my broken Hebrew, it was easy to see what a wonderful, young woman Yael was.
Our country and the world, is a better place for having Yael in it.
May you all find comfort in her memory.
