When I found that I could write to families in the Hall of Courage I felt an immediate connection. October 7th Yam showed more strength than many dream to possess. She gave her life to protect us. I am so truly sorry that you have the heartache of a lost child, sibling, friend in Yam. She at a very young age stood for those who cannot. We are forever grateful to her and you as her loved ones for this ultimate sacrifice. I know that losing someone you love is an incredibly painful experience, and I want you to know that you are not alone. Yam will be remembered in my heart always. As a single parent, it struck me that you might be struggling with the idea of parenting alone. Wondering how it might be for your future little one not to know his father. I wanted to tell you that it will be OK. That Lior will be closer to you all now than he even could have been when he was alive. You are enough for your children, and you will rise to this challenge just by being you. You are stronger and more capable than you ever imagined.
