I am so grateful to Simon for his love of Eretz Israel and his willingness to sacrifice all for that love. He is a mensch in the truest sense of the word. Someone to be honoured and emulated. May G-d bless your soul and give peace and comfort to those you left behind.

I never met you but I follow the Israeli news several times every day and I remember seeing the devastating news about your son.
(I remember reading his father was called Wolly…or was that the son?)
It was a terrible week for us accompanied by so much prayer and tears from here. Your son is a hero for us as he fought knowing he could lose his life yet courageously he still went to make the world safe for us…strangers.We are no longer strangers though- please know you are not alone in your pain and grief! You have Jewish brothers and sisters all over the world holding your hands and remembering Ariel Mordechay.

I remember well being her age since I was engaged to be married at that time. Kamay had her whole future ahead of her, only to have her life snuffed out much too soon. My deepest condolences come to you from the Arizona in the United States. I and my husband (as well as 3 of our 4 parents) also served in our military forces so we understand love of country.
