I am so sorry for your loss. I know I can’t have empathy for a tragedy like this, but I have sympathy for you, and I am praying that this horrific tragedy will soon end. Reading about Liel’s story, it is so sad to know that so many people died at the music festival including Liel. It is so amazing that he got a chance to be on TV as a child, as hopefully, he lived a good life. So sorry again. Just reminding you again that people truly care, even if you don’t know them.

I am so sorry Haim is no longer with us. May his memory be a blessing and may he inspire many generations to protect, to love and to support the state of Israel like Hail did. Dear Mr and Mrs Karavani: I am not sure how to express the deep sorrow I feel when I see your son’s beautiful smile. I imagine it feels to you, almost impossible to bear. I have sons and a grandson in the IDF and I am trying very hard to imagine what this loss must feel like. I can only be with you in your pain. I can only tell you how much the state of Israel means to me. I lived there for periods of time in my life and loved it from the minute I landed in Tel Aviv when I was thirteen years old. It was so astonishing to be safely in a country of Jewish people, run by Jews, maintained by Jews and ultimately, protected by Jews. Our sense of safety depends upon the state of Israel. Your son has helped to protect the dream of security that all Jews have in the world. He has given his life to the reality of Israel’s existence.
