It is with heartfelt gratitude that we thank you for your inspirational support for Israel’s heroes. It is our honor to share that FIDF was ranked #2 by The Jerusalem Post as one of ‘The 21 Best Jewish Charities for 2023,’ a testament to your generosity and collective impact during the War for Our Home.
Our work to support Israel’s bravest continues. Last Sunday, FIDF completed a five-week initiative to send an incredible 150 tons of essential winter clothing to soldiers fighting on the front lines.
More than $10 million worth of goods, equaling 2,646,013 items, was shipped to the IDF to prepare them for the winter season.
FIDF chartered two 747 planes to transport the goods to Israel, along with cargo flights containing 103,764 items and El Al flights carrying 429,836 items.
FIDF is continuing to care for the well-being of our heroes through three new wartime initiatives: SOULdier Recharge, Salute Our Heroes BBQs, and Operation Hug.
SOULdier Recharge offers entire units a 24-hour retreat off the battlefield, giving them a chance to recuperate with essential services such as physical therapy, PTSD screening, grooming, and team-building activities.
Similarly, our Salute Our Heroes BBQ events provide a well-deserved break from the demands of war and demonstrate our deep appreciation for their service.
Operation Hug, launched in partnership with Nefesh B’Nefesh and JNF-USA, offers round-trip tickets for a parent of a Lone Soldier to visit his or her child in Israel while serving and cannot leave the country.
Your generosity equips and empowers Israel’s soldiers to triumph on the front lines. In these trying times, your invaluable contribution makes an immeasurable difference.
Thank you,
Friends of the IDF
