“The anti-tank missile hit only a few meters from me. In one second, everything changed. I lost my left eye, my strength, and the life I knew. I survived, but the hardest part came later.
The body pain I could handle. The PTSD was much harder—the flashbacks, the anger, the guilt. I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t be close with my family. I felt like I was losing myself.
Through FIDF, I started therapy at the Warrior House in Haifa, where injured soldiers heal together, body and mind. My therapist, Michael, became my safe place and he helped me find myself again. He gave me tools to manage the pain and hope for the future.
FIDF’s support gave me the strength I needed to keep going and finally get my life back.”
