In the most unimaginable of circumstances, the FIDF community rallied together in an incredible way, enabling us to transfer more than more than $85 million to meet the IDF’s urgent requests since the harrowing attacks of October 7, and the devastating days that followed.

From the outset, FIDF has acted swiftly to provide critical aid, ensuring that every well-being requirement, no matter how big or small, was met within 24-48 hours. In those crucial early days, your contributions facilitated the procurement of essential medical equipment and supplies. Life-saving plasma was secured for thousands of civilians and soldiers. Field hospitals were established, delivering complex medical care in the most challenging of environments, and the purchase of dozens of operational ambulances enabled the safe transport of the wounded to safety.

As the war persists, our commitment deepens as there is still so much work ahead. Knowing that the mental health needs will be great, we have launched a multi-faceted initiative aimed at providing widescale PTSD support for soldiers and veterans who have witnessed unimaginable atrocities. Therapy and aid for bereaved family members who have lost loved ones, and rehabilitation services for wounded soldiers, are also a focus. We are dedicated to taking a leading role in construction efforts, including rebuilding bases attacked on October 7, ensuring that our beloved homeland emerges even stronger than before.

We are prioritizing financial assistance for families of reserve soldiers who rely on the income of a loved one who is serving, along with financial support for bereaved families. These initiatives are imperative for the stability of Israel’s economy during the war. FIDF teams and volunteers continue to be a source of solace and companionship for soldiers and bereaved families.
Over 630 shivas for fallen soldiers have been attended, and hundreds of bereaved families have received food deliveries throughout their shiva periods.

While many remain on the front lines for weeks and even months, we will continue to provide combat soldiers with the items that they need for personal care. Already, we have supplied personal well-being kits for more than 100,000 combat soldiers and reservists, and hundreds of thousands of towels and clothing items.
Over the winter, FIDF chartered two 747s, and multiple cargo flights, delivering more than 150 tons of clothing and cold weather gear. We continue to fund gift cards, tablets and hospital kits for wounded soldiers, concerts on bases, tents and portable rest areas, end of mission gifts and so much more. Spiritual items including Tzitzit and Torah scrolls are made available to soldiers seeking religious comfort.

We have also expanded our support for the families of IDF soldiers, namely Lone Soldier families and bereaved families. For example, together with Nefesh B’Nefesh, we funded flights for Lone Soldier parents to visit their children while serving. Hundreds of care packages have been provided to wounded soldiers and families, and dozens of laptops have been donated to evacuated orphans and siblings of fallen soldiers.
We will remain dedicated to answering every IDF call for support for soldiers and their families, and will stand with them today, tomorrow, and forever.
