As we step into 2026, we find ourselves looking back at a year defined by challenges, as well as historic breakthroughs.
2025 was a year where the strength of IDF soldiers was tested and proven across every front—from the strategic depths of Operation Rising Lion and the expanded maneuvers of Operation Gideon’s Chariots to the long-awaited and emotional return of hostages to their families.
Now, as the ceasefire brings a much-needed moment of reflection, we recognize that your compassion has been a steady heartbeat behind every mission.
At FIDF, our purpose is to transform your love into tangible support for the courageous men and women of the IDF. Thanks to your generosity, that mission was felt in every corner of Israel during this pivotal year.
Your 2025 Impact by the Numbers: $132 million sent to Israel for the health, well-being, and education of our protectors.
Our efforts focused on three core pillars to ensure every soldier was taken care of:
- Critical Healthcare ($33M): You provided medical resources for 28,000 soldiers, funding life-changing mental health treatment, medical facilities, and supplies. This ensured that our wounded heroes received comprehensive care from the moment of injury through every step of their recovery.Â
- Total Wellbeing ($75M): You touched the lives of 103,000 soldiers and their families. This funding provided a vital safety net through bereaved family support, direct financial assistance for families in-need, and critical periods of rest and recovery for combat soldiers who give their all to their country. Furthermore, you provided emotional support dogs to offer comfort to soldiers and their families processing the trauma of their loved ones. Â
- Educational Opportunities ($24M): You helped 37,000 soldiers build their futures beyond the uniform. From our flagship IMPACT! Scholarships, professional training, and other education programs, your support helped soldiers earn degrees and professional training, ensuring they thrive long after their service ends.Â
Looking Ahead: Our Mission Does Not Stop
While the current ceasefire offers a reprieve from active combat, our mission is far from over. For thousands of bereaved families, wounded soldiers, and those still grappling with the invisible scars of PTSD from October 7th and the ensuing war, the “battle” has simply moved to a different front.
The end of a conflict does not mean the end of the trauma. In 2026, we are committed to expanding our mental health infrastructure and vocational training initiatives. We will continue to stand by our veterans as they navigate the long journey of reintegration, ensuring they have the psychological and social support needed to truly come home.
The spirit of the IDF is found in its supporters, and your love is the fuel that keeps that spirit strong. Thank you for standing with them in 2025. We wish you a healthy, peaceful, and joyful start to 2026.
