Maryland Chapter

About the Maryland Chapter

The Maryland chapter was founded in the summer of 2008. Our leadership is made up of a committed and engaged Board of Directors who oversee the year-round activities for our community members in support of the men and women of the IDF.

We host a wide range of events, including Game Night to support our adopted Kedem battalion, a Yom Ha’atzmaut event, diverse parlor meetings, and an annual pre-gala event in support of the IMPACT! Scholarship Program.

We offer local, regional, and national programs which allow our leaders to evolve, grow and demonstrate their support for FIDF and Israel.

Our annual Gala Dinner attracts more than 600 attendees every year.

We are particularly proud of our efforts to help build the Jewish Heritage Center located in the Jewish quarter in Jerusalem. It serves as a dormitory for officers, commanders, and soldiers who come home for a few days to attend advanced workshops given by the Education Corps relating to Jewish education, Jewish heritage, and the history of Jerusalem.

We are proud to adopt the Kedem Search and Rescue battalion which not only provides relief to civilians on the Home Front during emergencies and disasters, but also to communities around the world affected by natural disasters and other emergency situations.

The Maryland FIDF family is also lucky to have many avid supporters of the IMPACT! scholarship program who also maintain special relationships with their students over the years.
