Supporters gathered at Fox News headquarters to cheer on three wounded IDF veterans as they kicked off a three-day cycling event with the Wounded Warrior Project’s Soldier Ride. In addition to participating in the incredible cycling experience, they will also meet with FIDF supporters throughout the area and share their stories of courage and patriotism.

This year’s ride began in New York City, traveling through Long Island, Fire Island and making its grand finish in East Hampton, NY. After completing the ride, the soldiers will join with active duty IDF soldiers and FIDF supporters for a BBQ at the home of Ruth and Fred Schwalbe in Westhampton, NY to raise funds to provide for wellbeing needs of Israel’s soldiers.

The IDF veterans are riding alongside their American counterparts, most of whom were wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan. The event brings together more than forty wounded warriors for three days of cycling on adaptive equipment from Manhattan to the Hamptons in a supportive environment of camaraderie and confidence-building.
