We supported more than 50,000 Israel Defense Forces soldiers during the second annual appreciation week for IDF soldiers in Israel, June 27-July 8.

The IDF Appreciation Week opened with a our “Fun Day” of rest and recuperation on June 27 for more than 5,000 Lone Soldiers – IDF soldiers with no immediate family in Israel – at Israel’s largest water park, just outside of Tel Aviv. There are some 7,000 Lone Soldiers from 80 countries serving in the IDF today. About 925 came from the United States, 639 from Ukraine, 559 from Russia, and 545 from France.

During the week-long series of events, FIDF held two “Fun Days” for Lone Soldiers and frontline combat soldiers, and sent four ice cream trucks to visit more than 24,000 soldiers on IDF combat bases across the country.
