FRIDAY, NOV 10: WELCOME TO ISRAEL!
Some participants took some time to visit the Kotel and the entire group joined for the official commencement
ceremony and Shabbat dinner.
SATURDAY, NOV 11: LIVING ISRAEL’S HISTORY
Participants took a tour of the Old City, a neighborhood tour of Rehavia and Nahalot and some went to Masada followed by a Geopolitical briefing and an unforgettable Havdalah service.
SUNDAY, NOV 12: THE POWER OF THE IDF
Participants visited with soldiers of the Magav Border Police. Border Police Commander, Major General Yaakov (Kobi) Shabtai and combat soldiers, male and female from various special units and combat lone soldiers greeted the group. The group learned that the heaviest area of MAGAV operation is the city of Jerusalem, maintaining the peace for everyone regardless of culture or religion. The group also saw various unique drills of training that replicate real life scenarios the MAGAV soldiers encounter.
A key moment was the moving story of Ravit Mor - She shared her story with the group about the terror attack that happened at the Damascus Gate where her best friend Hadar Cohen was killed while saving her life. She noted "We are here to protect civilians. This is what we were drafted for and this is why we are here.I have no doubt that Hadar knew this and acted in this light. Hadar saved my life."
MONDAY, NOV 13: THE SKY’S THE LIMIT!
The group kicked off the day with a visit to Havat Hashomer, the IDF’s educational training center and experienced a lecture with humanitarian relief professionals who are treating Syrian refugees
TUESDAY, NOV 14: PROTECTING ISRAEL AND HER ASSETS
The group visited the Northern Command and witnessed soldiers in the field in the pastoral Golan Heights. After, the group had a unique dinner to experience how Israeli pioneers lived.
WEDNESDAY, NOV 15: SALUTING THE IDF SOLDIERS!
After an eventful visit to Ramat David Israeli Air Force Base the group took an exclusive tour of the the Israeli Navy Seal base in Atlit, home to Shayetet 13.
THURSDAY, NOV 16: THE BIG PICTURE AND RE-ENTRY
The group spent the morning with the elite combat engineering unit, Yahalom. After this, the group met with Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai followed by a celebratory mission closing dinner.
