Daniel Chattler, a former lone soldier from the U.S. who was in charge of operating the Iron Dome while serving in the IDF had the privilege of sharing his IDF experience and knowledge with students at the Religious School of Temple Emanuel in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Chattler described his unique experiences serving in the IDF, the purpose of the Iron Dome and the importance of having it to protect civilians in Israel. The students were intrigued by Daniel’s experience and peppered him with questions about his service and various aspects of how the IDF uses technology to protect Israeli citizens on a daily basis.
Daniel’s talk highlighted an important aspect of how the FIDF is engaging young minds in dialogues about the IDF and how Israel plays into their cultural identity.
