Based in Houston, the FIDF Texas Chapter was founded in 2012 by Bryan Leibman, Glenn Lowenstein, and Richard Leibman. With a focus on fundraising and community outreach, we hold events across the entire Lone Star State. Our Chapter hosts Israeli military leaders and IDF soldiers at community briefings, parlor meetings, synagogue and church outreach sessions. In addition to our Annual Gala, which raises more than half a million dollars, our Women’s Division and Young Leadership are very active supporting FIDF’s mission. These outreach events and groups are focused on strengthening FIDF’s programs which directly benefit IDF soldiers and their families with housing, food, education, counseling services and more.
One of our most successful initiatives in South Texas is the support of higher education with more than $1.8M donated to former IDF Veterans for the IMPACT! Scholarship Program.
Quigley, a Galveston native, comes to FIDF with a decade of experience as a senior executive and nonprofit leader, bringing deep understanding and expertise in program development, fundraising, and donor relations. She also serves as the President of the Harris & Eliza Kempner Fund, having served on the Board of Directors for 14 years in various roles before becoming the first of her generation to lead her family’s philanthropic endeavors into the sixth and seventh generations. As President of the Board, she oversees a $50 million corpus with over $3 million in annual grant allocations.
