FIDF mourns the loss of IAF flight instructor, Major (res.) Itay Zaiden, 42, from Kibbutz Shoval and IAF flight cadet, Corporal Lihoo Ben-Bassa, 19, from the city of Rishon LeZion, are the officer and solider killed earlier today (Tuesday) in a light aircraft crash in southern Israel.

Cpl. Lihoo Ben-Bassa was posthumously promoted from Private to Corporal. The bereaved families have been notified.
