A Lone Soldier from France Attacked by Terrorists

Sgt. Allison Bresson

Allison was born in France. Her father died when she was very young and even though her mother is not Jewish, her mother preserved the religion in their household. Allison decided after high school she was going to join the IDF without ever visiting Israel. Her mother was in shock by her decision. However, her mother supported her decision to join the IDF even though it is very difficult for her.

Allison drafted to the Border Police and finished basic training after four months. During her first year of service, Allison began the process of conversion. Allison is currently stationed as an infantry commander in Judea and Samaria.

In October 2015, the Allison and fellow Border Police soldiers noticed two suspicious men approaching a fellow soldier, with knives in their hands. Allison quickly fired at the terrorists, saving her life and the lives of those around her.

FIDF provides direct financial relief to Lone Soldiers such as Allison as well as the soldiers in-need in the form of holiday vouchers, home essentials such as furniture and electrical appliances, grants, and food vouchers. Today Allison lived in Afula, Israel with her Partner/ Fiancé. The last time Allison saw her family was December 2015.
