Mitzvah Day Brings Cards for IDF Soldiers

On Sunday, February 12th, families at the Jewish Community Center of Harrison took part in a community-wide Mitzvah Day celebration teaching local students  the importance of “Tikun Olam”. IDF Musical Ensemble Visits a True Tzadik

While touring in NY, the IDF Musical Ensemble had the great privilege to visit Mr. Knud Marstrand Christiansen, a member of the Danish rowing team at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, who spent the years of World War II as a member of the Danish resistance. Among his extraordinary acts of bravery, he rowed Jews across the Oresund waterway from occupied Denmark to safety in neutral Sweden.
