Thank you ATLANTA for making the inaugural FIDF Gala Dinner IDentiFy 2010 a rousing success!

The Atlanta Chapter held its Inaugural Dinner at the Georgia Aquarium on April 14th.  Over 400 people attended.  Highlights included:  Ziv Koren, internationally acclaimed photographer who had on hand 40 photographs taken of the IDF in battle, training and rest; on land, air and sea; depicting courage, determination and commitment; Chen, an active duty Helicopter Pilot; and the Klein’s, family to Major Roi Klein Z”l, who heroically died while saving the lives of the platoon he lead.  The story Roi’s mom told of heroism, bravery, commitment, courage and compassion is beyond compare.  There was not a dry eye in the audience.

Chairman Howard Wexler remarked that the attendance by Orthodox, Secular and Israeli Jews of Atlanta, all for the benefit of the young Soldiers of the IDF, was heartwarming.  It is our hope that next year’s dinner can attract at least 600 attendees.  In addition, he thanks Billi and Bernie Marcus for Chairing the event and all of the Hosts and Sponsors willing to assist in the creation of this Chapter.
