LAS VEGAS, May 6 – The Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) Las Vegas Chapter showed its appreciation for the community that helped raise more than $500,000 at its December gala with a Caesar’s Palace event, hosted by Dana and Michael Werner last week.

More than 40 people attended this month’s FIDF event, including IDF Cpl. Joey of Las Vegas, a Lone Soldier (those who immigrate to Israel without family and enlist in the army) who spoke about his experience during last summer’s Operation Brother’s Keeper; and 1st Lt. Neri, an IDF Armored Corps. deputy company commander, who fought in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge.

FIDF National Director and CEO Maj. Gen. (Res.) Meir Klifi-Amir also spoke at the event to thank FIDF supporters for their dedication and for contributing to wellbeing and educational programs for Israeli soldiers.
