In addition, the Michigan Chapter has sponsored briefing rooms, clubs, mobile gyms, and synagogues all over Israel. Testimonials
"As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor I was raised to believe in the absolute importance and necessity of the State of Israel for the protection of the Jewish people. If there had been a Jewish state prior to World War II, millions of senseless murders could have been prevented. Whether we are Jews living in Argentina, Mexico, Germany, Japan, or the United States, the IDF continues to fight for all our freedoms. They allow all of us to live as Jews, granting us the freedom to be who we are, to practice Judaism how we choose.
My mission is to ensure that these brave young soldiers of Israel, who sacrifice everything for our safety, are taken care of.
We all have the same goal: the existence and security of the State of Israel, the Jewish people and, ultimately, peace."
- Brenda Wayne Berris – Executive Board Member
"As Americans, we have been blessed with opportunities and freedoms that do not exist in other parts of the world. As Jews, our people have never had it better in anytime in our history than we do right here, right now in this country. I believe that one of the main reasons that we have been able to achieve unprecedented success in this country has been because of the inspiration that the State of Israel has provided American Jews. In that regard, there is one reason and one reason only that the State of Israel has been able to not only survive, but to thrive, has been because the men and women of the Israeli Defense Forces. 365 days a year, 24/7 they stand guard in the toughest neighborhood in the world to protect not only the State of Israel but the Jewish people. It is my privilege and honor to be able to support the men and women who risk their lives and delay their future so I can live the life that I do"
- Rick Bloom – Board Member
