New York / Tri-State Chapter
New York | New Jersey | Long Island | Westchester / CT | Young Leadership NY
The New York Tri-State Region of Friends of the IDF was founded in 1981 by a group of Holocaust survivors who dedicated their lives to the heritage and essence of remembrance of the ones they lost. John Klein z’l, Frank & Cesia Blaichman, Sam & Lilly Bloch, Esther Born, Vladka Meed, Jack & Shelly Pomeranc & Robert & Sarah Wax, & Judy Gorodetzki, are among those who worked relentlessly in the forefront to found Friends of the IDF. They recognized the importance of the Jewish State of Israel and the brave young men and women of the IDF, who risk their lives on a daily basis to defend their country.
